This driver supports all ELZET80 Bitbus boards (except USBBIT) under Linux Kernel 2.4 and 2.6. The included BAPI BITBUS library provides an easy migration to/from BAPI under Windows®. Source for the driver is provided (to be used solely with our boards).
Installation is straightforward:
-install kernel-source
-install kernel-syms
-cd ipc-bit900/ipcbit900
-make
-make install (root)
-edit /etc/modprobe.conf.local
insert a line:
options ipc-bit900 bit900_io=0x230 bit900_irq=-1
-yast:
System - /etc/sysconfig
Editor - System - Kernel - MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT:
ipc-bit900
-/etc/init.d/boot.udev reload
-modprobe ipc-bit900
A test program is provided in source to scan the complete BITBUS network for nodes or to continuously poll a specific node.
