Bitbus

BITBUS - The International Fieldbus

What is BITBUS

BITBUS

Background information on BITBUS:

BITBUS is used to interconnect stand-alone control units, terminals, data-loggers etc. It is especially suited to interchange medium-sized data telegrams (typ. 10..250 bytes) even at long distances (several kilometers).

BITBUS is based on two solid standards:

  • RS485 as electrical specification for reliable communication through rough environments
  • SDLC as a software protocol for compact, synchronous message transfer
