This RTD multiplexer is not only to be used with ELZET80 hardware but with PLCs of any make with analog inputs. Applying three 24V signals to Pt100MUX8 engages a binary channel selection to one of the eight inputs. The Pt100's resistance value is translated into a linearised 4..20mA current depending on the input temperature range. 4 standard ranges are available as well as custom devices.
Often, RTD inputs are a tight resource with PLCs, usually there are only one or two if any. If you have 4..20mA current or 0..1/5/10V voltage inputs, then Pt100MUX8 gives you eight Pt100 RTD inputs. If you don't have analog inputs, Pt100FC is another choice. For a voltage input, you need a shunt resistor whose value depends on the input range (see order codes). Power is sourced over the signal cable as shown in the interface connection.
