TSM...the modular rail mount system
TSM-16A24P
- 16 digital outputs 24V=
- Protected against overload and overtemperature
- High switching current: 1.5A per output over full temperature range up to 70°C
- Two terminals for each output: switched high side output and common ground
- High side smart switch MOSFET outputs (source drivers, grounded load).
- 5mm isolation gap between bus side and load side.
- 2 groups of 8 outputs isolated from each other
- Deutlich geringere Stromaufnahme pro Ausgang als andere 24V-Baugruppen
- All outputs off at RESET and with missing TSM-bus supply or missing external 24V supply
- Watchdog circuit to reset outputs if not retriggered within 50..100ms.
- Yellow LEDs for each output
TSM-16A24P is a high reliability digital output module to drive two groups of eight valves or relays from an industry standard 24V DC supply. Rated switching current is 1,5A over the full temperature range, enough to drive even hydraulic valves.
High side switching allows grounded loads for extra safety. Protected outputs are especially useful in applications that require frequent re-wiring.
Outputs are set by writing to two addresses of the modules 4 byte address space or by using the operating system functions to access single outputs. The output registers can be read back on the same address. In case of a fault, the outputs are switched off and return to normal after the overtemperature or overcurrent situation ends. The status of the outputs is not read back (although the switch hardware supports this) because this would require another 16 optocouplers and gives isolation problems. Economically, it makes more sense to wire the outputs that require monitoring in parallel to an 8E24. Watchdog and monitor functions are the same as on 8A24 or 32A24.
Each group must be fused at 12A (connector limit) as the outputs switch higher currents at room temperature.
